Friday February 26, 2016: What phase is the moon in? (9:34 pm)

If you visit the website Moon Rise & Moon Set Times you will be able to view the rise and set times of the moon for each day.

Today's moonrise will be at 9:34 pm.

Make sure you include in your post:


  • The time of day/night you made your observation
  • Conditions of the sky (partly cloudy, overcast, clear, foggy, etc.)

  1. February 26,2016 10:00 Friday I observed the moon. It was a waining gibbes. It was cloudy but I could see the clear enough.

  2. Today is February 27, 2016. At 6:27 I looked out my window and I saw the moon. The moon was in the waning gibbous phase, the sky was very clear.

  3. Today is February 27, 2016 at 7:18am. Today it is too cloudy to see the moon. However the moon is in the waning gibbous phase.

  4. Today is February 26, 2016 7:42 am. I did not see the moon at this time. The moon rise and moon set times website says it is supposed to be a waning gibbous.

  5. The date is February 27, 2016 and the time is 8:00 p.m. The skies are clear and the moon is still in a wanning gibbous.

  6. In the morning at 7:37 a.m I looked outside to see the moon. I didn't see the moon because I was probably to late. I t was also very sunny out.

  7. It is the 26th of February and I am observing the moon. I cannot see the moon because the sky is overcast and the clouds are covering the moon but I know that the moon is in a waning gibbous phase.

  8. Yesterday was 2/28/16. I forgot to look at the moon but it was supposed to be in the waning gibbous phase.
