Thursday February 25, 2016: What phase is the moon in? (8:39 pm)

If you visit the website Moon Rise & Moon Set Times you will be able to view the rise and set times of the moon for each day.

Today's moonrise will be at 8:39 pm.

Make sure you include in your post:


  • The time of day/night you made your observation
  • Conditions of the sky (partly cloudy, overcast, clear, foggy, etc.)
  • Any additional observations and details you find important

    Today is February 25, 2016. It is now 8:41 pm. I cannot see the moon but I know it is now a waning Gibous.

    The date is February 25, 2016 and the time is 8:47. It is clear outside and the moon is still in a wanning gibbous phase.

    It is February 25, 2016 9:03. It is cloudy so once again the moon is blocked. The Moon Set and Moon Rise Times says it is supposed to be in waning gibbous phase.

    February 25, 2016 Thursday looked outside at 9:00 pm to look at the moon. It was very cloudy so I could't see the moon, however, today is a weaning gibbous.

    Today is February 26, 2016. I looked out my window at 6:32 and I saw the moon. The moon was blocked by a branch, the moon was in the waning gibbous phase.

    On February 25, 2016 at 9:14pm I looked outside and I couldn't see the moon because it was too cloudy. However the moon was a waning gibbous.

    On February 26, 2016 at 7:33 am I looked outside and I couldn't see the moon because there were a few clouds. The moon was supposed to be in the waning gibbous phase.

    On Feb 26. 2016 at 7:33. I looked outside and I could not see the moon. It is making it"s way to a waning phase.There were a couple of clouds covering the moon.

    On February 25th, 2016, I went to observe the moon too early. The moon was in a waning gibbous phase but I could not see the moon because there were clouds covering it.

    On 2/26/16 at 5:30 in the morning I saw the moon outside. It was slightly cloudy and in a waning gibbous phase.
