Information Book - Table of Contents

In our writing nonfiction unit we have been focusing on fine-tuning our chapter titles to be more focused and organized. In our lesson today, we spoke about creating a "strong" Table of Contents that:

  • Has a logical structure (least important to most important, parts, types, reasons)
  • Contain chapters of equal importance
  • Don't repeat information
In today's blog, please name your topic and then list your chapter titles. Hopefully, your informational book will be more focused after trying out a variety of ways to organize your book. Here is the example of mine:

Topic: Dinosaurs (Killers & Scavengers)

Chapter One: What are Killers & Scavengers?

Chapter Two: Allosaurus

Chapter Three: Spinosaurus

Chapter Four: Velociraptor

Chapter Five: Tyrannosaurus - Rex

    1. If you look over your topic do you want to focus it more on "Parts of a Tree" and then each chapter is focused on one part of the tree and how it helps the tree survive?
