Monday March 14, 2016: What phase is the moon in?

If you visit the website Moon Rise and Set Times you will be able to view the rise and set times of the moon for each day.

Today's moonrise will be at 10:05 am. The moon will set the following morning at 12:39 a.m.

Make sure you include in your post:


  • The time of day/night you made your observation
  • Conditions of the sky (partly cloudy, overcast, clear, foggy, etc.)
  • Any additional observations and details you find important

  1. I looked outside my window at 6:56 pm on 3/14/16 To see the moon. It was very cloudy and raining. However it is in the Waxing Crescent phase.

  2. Today is March 14, 2016 6:17 pm. I can't see the moon because it is cloudy but I know that it is a waxing crescent.

  3. Today I looked outside to see the moon at 7:55 and I could notice the moon or any stars. The sky was full of clouds.

  4. Today is March 14 at 9:11 pm. I looked everywhere outside and I couldn't find the moon. It was partly cloudy, rainy, windy and cold.

  5. Today is 3/14/16 at 8:00 pm. When I looked outside I couldn't see the moon because of all the clouds. The moon is in the first quarter phase.
