I did not know that an eclipse can last 7 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI already knew that a solar eclipse occurs when the moon is in a straight line in between the sun and the earth. I learned that there is 3 major parts during a solar eclipse(Umbra, antumbra, penumbra.)
ReplyDeleteToday is March 8, 2016 at 9:03. I learned that a solar eclipse is the moon passing the sun and the Earth and the moon blocks the sun.
ReplyDeleteFrom the video I saw that a solar eclips is when the moon and the sun and earth line up. This is causing some of the earth to be in darkness, but the rest of the earth does not get afected. Some people think that when they see a solar eclips they think its night, but actuly the moon is just blocking the sun.
ReplyDeleteI learned that the Penumbra is when the moon is covering a little bit of the sun so you could only see part of the moon.
