Monday March 21, 2016: What phase is the moon in?

If you visit the website Moon Rise and Set Times you will be able to view the rise and set times of the moon for each day.

Today's moonrise will be at 4:39 pm. The moon will set the following morning at 5:32 a.m.

Make sure you include in your post:


  • The time of day/night you made your observation
  • Conditions of the sky (partly cloudy, overcast, clear, foggy, etc.)
  • Any additional observations and details you find important

  3. Today is March 21, 2016. At 8:02 I saw the moon. The moon is in the full moon phase. The sky is clear. I also saw Orion the hunter.

  4. It is 3/21/16 and I looked outside to see the moon at 7:40 and I could see it. It was in the New Moon phase which is the phase we started on so the moon just circled around earth. The sky was clear and I could see one star that was close to the moon.

  7. Today is March 21 at 9:00 pm. I looked outside and I swath moon clearly. It is in the Waxing Gibbous phase. It is not cloudy or foggy.
