Today is Wednesday March 2, 2016 at 9:20 pm. I looked out the and I couldn't see the moon. I probroly couldn't see it because my house is blocking it.

ReplyDeleteToday is March 3, 2016. I looked at the moon at 9:08 and it was in the waning crescent phase. I learned that when the moon is close to a new moon phase the moon is directly between the sun and the earth.

ReplyDeleteMrs.Luciano and Mrs.Mangan showed us how the waning crescent would look like if we were in space. Mrs.Mangan was the Earth, Mrs.Luciano was the sun and a child was the moon.
ReplyDeleteI went outside at 9:08am and saw the moon. It was a waning cresent. The sky was clear. We also did a demonstration where Mrs. Luciano was the world, Mrs. Mangan was the sun and a kid was the moon. They demonstrated where moon is when it is when it is a waning cresent and a new moon.

ReplyDeleteThe date is march 3, 2016. We went outside to look at the moon. What I noticed is that when its in a wanning crecent it is to the left. Also My teacher and another teacher showed that when the moon is between the sun and earth it's hard to see the moon.
ReplyDeleteWe went out on to the blacktop when it was 9:08. It was a Waning Crescent and I learned that you can't see the moon because the bright side of the moon was facing the sun so that is why we can't see the moon. Also, we call the moon waxing if it is growing is because it is like waxing.

ReplyDeleteI noticed that in a new moon phase the sun is shining on the moon so we don't see anything. In a waning crescent is on either side. In a new moon the sun is shining on us. A waning phase the moon is going away, in a waxing phase the moon is becoming full. One kind of moon is called the super moon and the snow moon, There is a lunar eclips and a solar eclips.
ReplyDeleteOn Thursday March 3, 2016 I went outside to observe the moon at 9:08 am. It was a waening cresaent. The teacher's were the moon and the Earth and the was the moon. He was almost in between the Earth and Sun. So it is a Waening crestent.
ReplyDeleteToday is March 3 at 9:08am. Today I looked outside it was a clear day so I could see the moon. I did an activity where Chris was the moon, Mrs. Mangan was the sun and Mrs. Luciano was the Earth. Chris would move around depending on what phase the moon was in. This helped everyone know what side the shadow of the moon is on. I learned that the shadow of the moon is on right side of the moon when the shadow is growing. When the shadow is shrinking the shadow is on the left side of the moon.
