Wednesday March 2, 2016: What phase is the moon in?

If you visit the website Moon Rise and Set Times you will be able to view the rise and set times of the moon for each day.

Today's moonrise will be at 1:16 am. Moon set will be on Wednesday evening at 11:29 am.

Make sure you include in your post:


  • The time of day/night you made your observation
  • Conditions of the sky (partly cloudy, overcast, clear, foggy, etc.)
  • Any additional observations and details you find important

  1. Today is March 2, 2016 I looked out my window at 7:29 and I could not see the moon. It was very rainy and cloudy. The moon was in the cresent phase.

  3. Today is March 2, 2016. I could not see the moon because of the clouds. It is supposed to be a waning crescent. I can't wait for the new moon!

  4. At 7:33 on 3/2/16 I went outside to look at the moon. It was cloudy so I couldn't see the moon. However it's in the last quarter phase.

  7. i went out at 7:45 am and saw last nights cresent moon. It was clear sky.

  8. I looked outside to see the moon at 8:35 am and I could not see it just like yesterday. There were no clouds and it was very sunny out.
